Dialcom Communications was formed in 1974 by Bruce and Janice Phillips in Barrie as a family business to supply Answering Service and Paging (beeper) products to businesses in the local area. It soon became clear that brokering services from the large suppliers was both frustrating and uneconomical from a service point of view. Consequently, in the late 70’s Dialcom with some like minded Companies formed and built their own Paging Systems in South and Central Ontario to compete with the larger suppliers. Through the next few decades Dialcom and its partners became the dominant supplier of Paging to Hospitals, Doctors, Real Estate, School Boards, Military, and the general business market in its chosen coverage area. This market was built on superior customer service.
With the coming of Cellular Phones Dialcom switched focus to the Camp market providing portable radios (walkies) and Satellite Phones for their operations throughout Ontario and Quebec. This part of the business is again built on superior customer service and continues to grow each year.
