Event Details

Doors will open at 6pm for cocktails prior to the event, which will begin at 7pm

Our expert guest speakers, Trevor Burnett from Woodman Wines and Spirits will lead us through a tasting of the exceptional whiskies from Nikka in Japan and share his knowledge and insights for each one.  

First Course 

From The Barrel paired with   

Japanese Grilled Mackerel & Dumpling Soup

Rich consommé fish broth poured over top steamed vegetable dumplings, 3oz portion of grilled mackerel, Japanese whisky infused Tufo, red cabbage, green onions, and Bonito fish flakes

Second Course 

Taketsuru Pure Malt paired with   

Yakitori Japanese Chicken Skewer

Tender and juicy grilled chicken thighs cut and skewered with green scallions, served over top of steamed rice vinegar and ginger soy rice

Third Course 

Yoichi Single Malt paired with   

Grilled Steak

10oz centre cut grilled NY striploin steak topped with a medley of miso glazed mushrooms, Japanese roasted sweet potatoes, grilled baby bok choy and ginger orange roasted carrots 

Epilogue 

 Miyagikyo Pure Malt paired with   

Asian Pear and Apple Spring Roll 

Japanese whisky infused Asian pears and apples rolled in spring roll wrapper, coated with a brown sugar and cinnamon butter deep fried and served with whiskey caramel sauce and creamy French vanilla ice cream
